During the Spring of 2009, the Fresno State community was issued a challenge by the Richter Center Ambassadors. The challenge is to picture the positive changes and impacts you can make in your community and then pledge to act on your vision. The “Picture the Change” campaign will span the academic year, providing Fresno State community members with an opportunity to document their pledge in order to share it and celebrate it with their fellow Bulldogs.
The first “Picture the Change” photo station was featured at the Services to the Community Expo, sponsored by the Jan and Bud Richter Center for Community Engagement and Service-Learning in January. All members of the Fresno State community – students, faculty, staff, and administrators – were invited to stop by the photo station and design a personal pledge to make a positive impact in the community. Richter Center Ambassadors were available to provide assistance in developing a personal pledge. Since then, the “Picture the Change” booth has made its round all over campus… and the West Coast! Check out the galleries that include pictures from local events and a conference in Portland, OR.
Over the years, hundreds of pledges have been collected ranging from commitments to be more green and encourage recycling to giving the gift of life by donating blood. Visit the photo galleries linked below to view the various pledges made by Fresno State!
