Hello Everyone!
You may have noticed my pledge for the Spring 2010 semester –“…to volunteer 150 hours to the Fresno State Leadership Council.” You might be wondering what in the world I’ll be doing for 150 hours this semester? Well… Here’s a sneak peak into one of the many services the Leadership Council provides to Fresno State students free of charge.
The Spring 2010 Emerging Leaders Retreat will be held on Friday and Saturday, February 26th & 27th and will offer an intensive leadership experience in order to learn and develop leadership skills to prepare you for your future! This retreat will provide you with an opportunity to meet and network with 35-40 other students with similar interests, develop leadership skills such as communication and understanding your leadership style, discover ways to become more involved in your campus and community, and participate in a culminating community service project of your choosing!
This retreat will offer you the tools to help you be the best leader you can be in your school, community, and workplace. And remember! –Not only does service build your skills to be a leader, being equipped with such leadership skills can also help to make your service experiences more meaningful and more enjoyable!
Applications (click on the link below to download a pdf of the application) are due Friday, February 19th 2010, so hurry FAST!
